Fireworks-Shows-ThumbWondering where to watch the Fireworks in Wauchula, Zolfo Springs, Arcadia, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, Venice, Siesta Key, North Port, Lake Placid, Sebring, Avon Park, and Palmetto?  Here’s a list of what’s happening to celebrate our Nation’s Independence Day!

Arcadia’s Fireworks will be held at the Turner Center on Thursday, July 4th. Gates will open at 6:30pm and the fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15pm.  The Turner Center will be open for restrooms.

Hardee County Fireworks at Pioneer Park in Zolfo Springs on Friday, July 5th.

Lake Placid’s Fireworks display will be held on Thursday, July 4th at 9 PM over Lake June.

Avon Park will host a family fun day on Thursday, July 4th at Donaldson Park followed by Fireworks at 9 PM.

Sebring’s Fireworks will blast off on Friday, July 5th over Lake Jackson at 9 PM.

Sarasota will host a special Independence Day “Fireworks Spectacular” at 9pm with viewing along Sarasota Bayfront Park.

Siesta Key’s 23rd annual 4th of July Fireworks Display and Party blasts off around 9:15pm north of the volleyball courts.

Venice Fireworks start at 9pm and will be shot from the South Jetty, visible from area beaches and other locations in the area.

North Port’s 10th annual Freedom Festival at North Port High School (6400 W. Price Boulevard) starts at 6 p.m., with fireworks taking off at 9pm.

Englewood’s Cajun Fest on Dearborn Street gets going at 11am, with fireworks around 9pm.

Palmetto hosts The Village People with opening act The Guess Who will perform a free concert sponsored by the City of Palmetto at Sutton Park Pavilion (6th Street West and 10th Avenue West) starting around 5pm.  At the end of the show, guests are encouraged to take a short walk down to the Manatee River to enjoy a fireworks display that starts around 9:30pm. It will also be visible from Bradenton Riverwalk.

Punta Gorda will have the annual Freedom Swim at Noon from the North side of the Southbound US 41 Bridge and ends at Harpoon Harry’s in Fishermen’s Village.  Family friendly festivities begin at 11am at Fishermen’s Village with live music, face painting, and activities.  Meanwhile, Laishley Park in Punta Gorda will have Water-Mania with over a dozen water slides, and life music.  Fireworks display over Charlotte Harbor begins at approximately 9pm.
