The residents of Big Tree RV Park in Arcadia are having their 9th annual craft sale on Saturday December 1 from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM The Christmas Boutique will have crafts handmade by residents available. Among the variety of crafts will be handcrafted jewelry, puppets, Christmas Decorations, wood carvings, Aprons, crocheted pot scrubbers, ear muffs, slippers, and many things which will make great affordable Holiday presents with a personal touch. There will be a bake sale during show hours as well as Glenna’s famous Pulled Pork Sandwich luncheon available at 11:30 AM. There is no charge for admission, however, a non perishable food donation will be appreciated. The donations go to the Arcadia Food Bank. We thank you for your support and helping us aid the Arcadia Food Bank. Big Tree is located on NE Hwy 70 across from Wal-Mart. Contact Joyce Berty 494-2729 for any further information.

Hardee County 4th Annual Preview Show sponsored by Peace River Electric Cooperative (PRECO) will be held December 7-8, 2012, in Wauchula, FL. Highlights include a free barbeque dinner and a much anticipated free Stock Show University clinic on Friday night. The family-friendly show provides an opportunity for all ages to hone their skills in preparation for their local County and State Fairs. To give participants more experience, the Preview Show proudly uses only out-of-state National Level Judges. Due to the show's growing popularity, two National level judges will be on hand to evaluate cattle in two show rings. A wide range of Divisions and Classes are available: Divisions and Classes The entry deadline is November 26, 2012. Late entries will be charged a per head late fee, if postmarked after November 26th. Late entries will be accepted at check-in, but must be paid in cash. This year the event will surpass expectations with even more Christmas spirit! See the Living Christmas Tree performance by the First Baptist Church of Wauchula along with the help of other community churches. This 30ft tree includes 70 angelic voices and a fantastic show of lights. This is a performance you won’t want to miss! Santa will be visiting from the North Pole and will provide a photo opportunity for children. Arts and craft vendors will set up booths to provide you with the most unique gifts. It is a perfect night to do some last minute Christmas shopping as the merchants keep their store front lights on later than usual. Christmas is even more magical on Main Street Wauchula!
